It has a traditional exterior that bellies an interesting, quirky interior. The interior has tiled walls, hidden windows, and more.
The project itself is on a quite small island and it is built on an area that has a quite big tide and if the water happens to be low, you can walk to some other islands.
The island on which this project is constitutes an island on which houses with painted tiles on the walls in their dining rooms.
The island is also an island where houses which were in brick and had thatched roofs, as well as small rooms were built on.
In any way, located on this island, this project has a lot of interesting things to offer and here are some of those interesting things.
Marvelously elegant, this project is situated in Alkersum, Fhr Island, Germany. It has a space that is re-opened. They re-opened the space by successfully taking down dividing walls and simply living out the ones that surrounded the bathroom.
Aside from having the said re-opened space, it also has a new volume that acts as a central wall that goes through and unifies the space. The volume is covered by ceramic tiles with a quite simple pattern that is given by blue cement that holds them.
In FHR, light is brought inside through some reflective ceramics, as well as some translucent doors. In FHR, there is also a staircase that is framed by threads, thus, creating an interesting transparent threshold.
Aside from having such staircase, FHR is also a building that has some bedrooms which are actually dark colored bed-boxes and are so private just like nests.
